With IntelliConnect, you can share a Research Folder you have created with selected colleagues. Sharing a Research Folder allows greater collaboration while performing research. Sharing a Research Folder with colleagues allows them to view the documents contained in the folder. Depending on the share settings you assign to a folder, colleagues can add documents to the folder or remove documents from the folder.
To share a Research Folder:
Click the Research Folders link on the Quick Bar.
Any Research Folders you created previously are displayed in the left pane, and the contents of the currently selected Research Folder are shown in the right pane.
Click the Folder Options drop-down menu to the right of the folder you want to share and select Share with colleagues.
If you want to share the selected folder with all colleagues, click in the radio button next to Share with all my colleagues.
Choose the level of share access for the folder (Contributor or Read Only) from the drop-down menu, enter the date you want the permissions to expire (if at all) in the space provided, and then click OK. The Contributor level enables colleagues to modify your shared folder. Read Only rights enables colleagues only to see the contents of your shared folder.
If you want to share the selected folder with individual colleagues, click in the radio button next to Share with selected colleagues.
Click to select the colleagues you want to add to the list of people with whom you share the selected folder.
Choose the level of share access (Contributor or Read Only) for each colleague you add by selecting it from the drop-down menu in the Access Level column.
Click OK when you are finished selecting the colleagues with whom you want to share the selected folder.
